Is there anything better than a swine summer internship? SMEC kicked off the summer with the Swine Veterinary Internship Program (SVIP) students. All SVIP interns were in Ames, Iowa for a week-long orientation. During this time, an afternoon was spent on Iowa State University’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory necropsy floor. The following day students traveled on-site to experience a modern swine production facility. We are looking forward to seeing all of the SVIP interns and learning about their research progress in a few weeks for the mid-summer meeting.
