Over the next couple of weeks, we will feature some new SMEC faces. Welcome to the team, Becca Walthart!
Becca is an Iowa State graduate with a bachelor’s in animal science (’21). She has completed a production internship with Pipestone Veterinary Service working with farrowing and breeding sows, where she became fully interested in swine. Her previous livestock showing experience and production internship have made swine a focus of her studies.
Becca’s future goals are to attend veterinary school at Iowa State and become a production animal veterinarian. Currently, she is a Project Assistant with SMEC and works on assisting the current doctors with their research.
